The Necessity, Chapter Two - Blind BeautiesCHAPTER TWOThe Necessity, Chapter Two - Blind Beauties by indigobennett
A mix of red, blonde and brown flurried around Ednik's memory. Feathers, ruffles and lace. Brown, blue and green. Buxom, thin, and curvaceous. Three beauties with three different opinions of Ednik, yet all with the same outcome. Love. They all vied for his attention. Each pined for him just as much as the other, yet they didn't know the truth about Ednik. How sarcastic, cynical and blunt he is in conversation. How he tuned out half the time they talked, and how he had them all. Yes, Ednik Cornston was courting three different ladies all at the same time… without knowing it.
The first was Edith Parr, a buxom beauty who enjoyed crocket in the afternoon. Her red hair was often tightly curled, and her sparkling brown eyes reminded him of the dark pinewood which covered his floor. Her optimistic attitude always seemed to lighten the mood, and even Ednik admitted he felt somewhat less miserable in her company.

The Necessity, Chapter One - A Storm's A' BrewingIt's been raining for several hours today, and Ednik could feel dissatisfaction soak into his very being, as if he were the most depressed sponge in all of England. Through the searing heat, the girl could not feel her face. It was numb and cracked like an old clock. She counted the minutes til they would arrive. Fire blazed under her feet, while her skin blistered and peeled, she stood there. Hungry like a lion. Yet it was not food she hungered for. It was revenge. She would serve it hot, and slow.
Soaring through the sky was a bald Eagle, leaning from left to right as it rocketed. For a moment everything stopped. Everything was still, as if the Earth had stopped moving and the Sun had exploded. She felt hate crawl up her back like an angry scorpion.
They were here.
And although they hadn't noticed, she was there with them, watching their every move like a hawk. Her eyes flashed in violent anger, and her fist clenched in hate. They would pay. Her whole life had been well spent on training for this moment. She would torture them til they screamed in agony and even then, she would continue on. Hunting them all down. Their sons, their daught
